Red Dead Redemption, the breakaway video game hit of the beginning of the year, has just received a brand new downloadable content pack, titled Liars and Cheats, which brings new features to the multiplayer mode as well as new achievements and trophies.

Red Dead Redemption has been developed by Rockstar San Diego and will be receiving its second DLC pack, in the form of Liars and Cheats.

Besides bringing an array of new features, this content will also include the previously announced Free Roam Pack, which was supposed to be launched for free a few weeks ago.

“The Liars and Cheats Pack gives players a lot more of what they love about Red Dead Redemption,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. “By building out Free Roam even further and continuing to offer new competitive multiplayer modes, we’re ensuring our community always experiences an open world that’s vibrant and alive with fresh content.”

Among the key features of the Liars and Cheats DLC pack we have a new Stronghold competitive multiplayer mode, which tasks two teams with attacking or defending a landmark under a strict time limit.

The multiplayer mode has also received new activities, including the addition of poker and Liars' Dice, as well as horse races.

You will be able to test out the new Explosive Riffle weapon on four new hunting grounds and seven new gang hideouts, thus completing a set of single-player and multiplayer challenges.

As any self respecting DLC pack, Red Dead Redemption's Liars and Cheats brings 10 new achievements and trophies that can be unlocked in the game.

The Liars and Cheats pack is now available for download on the PlayStation Network for 10 dollars or 8 pounds sterling, as well as on Xbox Live for 800 Microsoft Points.

A copy of Red Dead Redemption is required, and you can also download the previously available Legends and Killers pack.
