Susan Boyle is like a puppet in the hands of her management, the singer’s brother, Gerry Boyle says in a new interview cited by the Express UK. According to him, the star is again suffering from exhaustion but her people are pushing her to do more appearances, while also keeping her completely cut off from her family, who is thus unable to tell whether something is wrong.

As we also reported a while back, this is not the first time that Mr. Boyle steps forward to speak to the media and claim that not only is fame hurting his sister by throwing her into the pits of depression, but also that her people – the same who should be taking better care of her – are manipulating and controlling her for profit. Though last time Gerry was saying only that Susan was relatively depressed and had lost all hope she might live a normal life again, this time he’s pointing fingers and calling names. His sister’s management is taking advantage of her and of her not knowing how things are done in the industry, he implies.

“Susan Boyle’s brother has accused her management team of trying to ‘control’ the singing sensation and preventing her from seeing her family. Entrepreneur Gerry Boyle said he was ‘very angry’ about the way the Britain’s Got Talent star has been treated after she cancelled shows in Australia. […] Susan, 49, of Blackburn, West Lothian, was to be the star attraction at the Logies, Australia’s national TV awards, in Melbourne next month. She was also booked to appear on a top-rated television show, but pulled-out because she’s ‘exhausted’,” the Express writes.

“The Boyle family has made it very clear to Susan’s management that we neither trust nor approve of them. Certain things have come to light. We are very concerned and very angry with the way she is being treated. The management who control Susan has kept her family away from her. It’s not an ideal situation,” Gerry himself says in a statement on how the Boyle family sees Susan’s management team.

All this time, on the bright side, Susan’s debut album, “I Dreamed a Dream,” is already en route to smashing all records, after becoming the biggest opening of a female newcomer ever registered in the history of music.
