GoSolarUSA has announced its acquisition of the the exclusive distribution rights to the Volt Solar Charger accessory for iPhone in North America. To GSLO’s knowledge, the Volt is the only iPhone battery pack to include a "reception corrector," the company said today.

The Volt Solar Charger is an external battery pack that attaches to the iPhone and extends its battery life using a built-in solar panel, according to GSLO.

The gadget is capable of harvesting solar energy to charge all versions of Apple’s iPhone by capturing solar power, the company said.

The Volt reportedly recharges the iPhone’s battery first before charging its own internal battery, and nearly doubles the smartphone’s talk time.

Earlier this week, GoSolarUSA announced that it had signed a profit participation agreement with Xiamen Solar Electronics (the developer of the Volt), to provide the latter with development funding for the Volt Solar Charger.

Today, GoSolarUSA announced signing a distribution agreement with XSE, to gain exclusive rights to sell and distribute the Volt in North America.

“The Volt includes a larger battery than many competitors and is the only iPhone battery pack known to the company to include a reception corrector,” the official report, dished out by GSLO today, reads.

Unfortunately, GSLO does not explain what the “reception corrector” is for, although it is reasonable to assume the company is trying to capitalize on the iPhone 4’s alleged reception issues.

A USB cable will also be included with the device, in order to charge the Volt Solar Charger after sunset, said the company that claims to center on capturing the most potentially profitable American solar technology.

“Manufactured in a variety of colors, the Volt will soon go on sale bundled with a one-year warranty,” GSLO added.

“GoSolarUSA has made it a priority to bring new technology into the North American market for Apple product accessories, and we expect XSE to be an invaluable partner in that mission,” said GSLO President and CEO Tyson Rohde.

“With the announcement yesterday that the iPhone 4 will be available on the Verizon (NYSE: VZ) Wireless network beginning in February, we anticipate that the massive domestic market for iPhone accessories such as the Volt will grow even larger in the coming months,” Rohde added.
