BioWare has officially admitted the existence of the Rebellion DLC Pack for Mass Effect 3, which is set to be launched on the Xbox Live from Microsoft, the PlayStation Network from Sony and the PC on Tuesday, May 29, with European PSN players having to wait until May 30, adding weapons, maps, gear and character kits.

The Rebellion DLC Pack will add six new character classes to play as:

- the Vorcha Soldier – comes with extra resistance and a Bloodlust as an ability; - the Vorcha Sentinel – has extra durability and a Flamer ability; - male Quarian Engineer – uses the new Arc Grenade; - male Quarian Infiltrator – uses Tactical Scan as an ability; - ex-Cerberus Vanguard – use a new Lash attack; - ex-Cerberus Adept – combine Smash and Singularity to devastating effect.

The new maps include:

- Firebase Jade – built around an ancient reservoir built by the Salarians deep in the jungle, with strategic chokepoints and a number of small rooms that encourage close quarters engagements; - Firebase Goddess – set in the middle of a Thessian metropolis, this is the last place where the Asari resisted the Reaper, with a circular layout.

The new weapons to bring to the fight are:

- Cerberus Harrier Assault Rifle – fully automatic, with slightly less stopping power and more accuracy; - Reegar Carbine Shotgun – an improved arc pistol which generates a sustained electrical arc on its target, with the core elements of Quarian design integrated; - Krysae Sniper Rifle – a Turian made anti-material rifle modified specifically to take out Reapers, with better accuracy and stopping power.

The Rebellion DLC pack also adds a new in-mission objective, which can appear on waves 3,6 and 10 and demands the retrieval of a high-priority package and deliver it to a secure extraction point.

The new multiplayer pack for Mass Effect 3 will be offered for free to all those who have bought the game new and redeemed their online code.
