14 DAY TRIAL // Some people would stoop at anything to get their way, and the same seems to apply to those who started a rumor that Rebecca Black was with child. She is “absolutely not pregnant,” she writes on her Twitter page.
For those who don’t know the name of Rebecca Black, suffice it to say that she’s responsible for possibly the most popular and hated pop song of modern times, as we also informed you at the time of its release.
One should also note that Black is only 13 years old, which in itself should have placed at far from the reach of such rumors, as common as they may be with all celebrities.
To end the rumors before they spread too far, Rebecca herself has taken to her Twitter to put it to rest: she is not pregnant – and she probably doesn’t appreciate the joke, if that’s what this was.
“I thought it was May 15th...not April Fools Day. I’m absolutely NOT pregnant,” Black writes.

Of course, no one knows who originated it – but it also started on a social network, though not the same one on which it ended.
“Rebecca was hit with the pregnancy rumor after someone posted a webcam shot of her holding a sign that read ‘I’m pregnant 5/15/11’ on her Facebook wall,” the aforementioned e-zine writes.
Most likely, the photo in question had been doctored, which would also explain why it was taken down so quickly.
“The snapshot was quickly deleted, but someone was adding more fuel to the fire by submitting it as a CNN iReport. There was also suggestion that the pop singer was urged to ‘seriously consider an abortion’,” AceShowbiz further says.
Last time Rebecca Black’s name grabbed headlines was when she announced the name of her second single (“LOL”) and that she was working on her debut album.
