The new driver offers a big number of improvements

The REDFLY driver set has seen a new update recently, as Celio works on providing users with more improvements and compatibility options. One thing that should be noted about the new version 01.04.00.147 of the REDFLY driver is that users should perform the update on both the mobile phone and REDFLY so that they make sure the two provide the proper compatibility.

Among the most important improvements the new version of the driver (01.04.00.147) brings over the latest one (01.04.00.93, which was in beta), we can count a new compression mechanism that comes along with the release, which users will be able to find in a new tab from the REDFLY settings, dubbed Compression.

By default, the compression will be turned off, yet those who will primarily connect via Bluetooth should turn the setting on. This won't be a hard process, as there is an “Enable loss compression” check box. The setting is meant to significantly improved the data transfer speeds between the mobile phone and the REDFLY, yet it results in a deterioration of the clarity of the image.

The new driver release for REDFLY also comes with a series of improvements for some mobile phones, including Touch Pro, Diamond, and Fuze, which are meant to offer better interaction with the TouchFLO, as well as with the phone dialer.

The new release eliminates the delay in loading the screen that was registered at times when the TouchFLO was turned off, while also resolving issues seen with the Font size that was changing on the phone. The larger-sized tool and menu bars have been left the same, and they are expected to become available in the current state. Yet the development team says that they will continue the work with HTC to eliminate this issue as well in the future.

Another bug that was fixed was the one that drove the Epix camera to hang when launched in a REDFLY session. Those who would like to download and install the drivers should go to Celio's official website.
