The PC version of the game launches in two different forms

It's all over the Internet folks: the PC version of Quake Wars: Enemy Territory, Splash Damage has been dated for Europe, Australia and North America. The game has just gone Gold and below you have the game's developer confirming it. Quake Wars: Enemy Territory for the PC is said to come in two different forms: the standard version and a limited edition Collectors pack.

"After months of testing, tweaking and balancing Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars, I'm pleased to finally be able to say 'It's Done!'" said id Software CEO Todd Hollenshead. "We've had a ton of fun getting the game ready for the masses and I'm looking forward to seeing the massive battle for the top of the online leaderboards begin!"

Yes, according to itwire.com, September 28 is the day Quake Wars: Enemy Territory hits Europe and Australia, while North America's Quake fans will get to see it a few days later, on October 2nd. The same source informs that the console versions of the game (Xbox 360 and PS3) have yet to be dated, as these versions are Nerve Software's job to deliver, along with Activision Foster City.

In Quake Wars: Enemy Territory, gamers choose to play as Human or Strogg in one of five unique character classes. Employing an arsenal of weapons, vehicles and deployable armaments, players engage in an action-packed test of skill and coordinated teamwork through a series of combat objectives. Persistent character growth and achievements reward players for teamwork, while clearly defined mission and class objectives guide new players to meaningful contributions on the battlefield.
