QPAD, a Swedish company specialized in developing high-performance computer peripherals, recently announced the introduction of the OM-75 gaming mouse targeted at hardcore, pro gamers and demanding enthusiasts.

Under the stylish white piano finish covering the OM-75, QPAD has installed a high precision optical sensor with a shutter speed of 6469 frames per second covering an area of 30x30 pixels per frame.

This is equivalent to a resolution of 5.8MP, and it doesn't rely on any sort of interpolation or other software tricks to reach this value.

Furthermore, this is assisted by a micro control unit to optimize the tracking performance, has built-in memory for retaining your settings from moving between computers, and its sensitivity can be adjusted between 400 and 1600 CPI.

USB polling rates can also be changed between 125, 250, 500 and 1000 Hz, depending on how much the computer port can accept without creating lag.

The rest of the OM-75 features list includes pre-mounted Glidz on the feets for smoother and faster mouse movement, 7 buttons, of which 5 are programmable, Plug & Play installation, while the left and right buttons are built to last an impressive 5 million clicks, according to the manufacturer.

"Although the latest generation of laser sensors provides significantly higher CPI, many gamers have become accustomed to the feel and movement that an optical mouse offers,” said Christer Körnbäck, CEO and founder of QPAD.

“The gaming grade optical sensor by Avago has undergone improvements for generations and is now almost flawless.

“And in addition to our comfortable grip together with the white piano finish, which is incredibly easy to keep clean, and the programmable features, the QPAD OM-75 will be a great bang for your bucks," concluded the company's rep.

QPAD OM-75 will be available the first week of September with a recommended price tag of 49.90€. If you fell that you can't wait that long, the mouse is also available for pre-order from several QPAD resellers.
