Looks like Konami is following the trend as the Japanese based company is trying to bring Pro Evolution Soccer to Wii games console.

The information was confirmed by Shingo Takasuka as he explained that he is trying to adapt the Wii remote's functions to the Pro Evolution Soccer video game. EA has plans for releasing an add on that could allow Wii players to experience PES to a more advance level, by strapping on the remote on their feet.

The name of Konami's soccer simulator differs from region to region. In Japan the game is called Winning Eleven and Pro Evolution Soccer in the rest of the world. Konami released by now 5 installments of the game, and the sixth one is due to appear in October. Pro Evolution Soccer 6 is said to feature more licensed teams, an improved Master League, new boots and hairstyles for the players.

The most innovative feature, which is not present in any other soccer simulator, is that gamers are able to reincarnate retired players as 17 years old rookies, present in the Newcomers section. Gamers are able to see soccer legends like Maradona to Pele, in the prime of their youth and also have the possibility of guiding their careers.
