14 DAY TRIAL // Tila Tequila has said that she’s ready for a new life, now that she’s pregnant, but it seems that one thing about her will never change because she remains as unpredictable as ever. Musician Thomas Paxton Whitaker, who came forward to announce that he was the father of Tila’s baby, is now revealing that she dumped him because he’s poor.
As the great Shakespeare put it, there is something rotten in the state of Denmark.
But let’s take first things first: last week, Tila broke the news on social media that she was 10 weeks pregnant. She did not name the father and didn’t say if she was in a relationship or not, a secret she’s kept mum on until now.
Days after the shocking news, 42-year-old Whitaker told the press that he was living with Tila, was in a relationship with her and, yes, had fathered their unborn child. He also said that he had two daughters from a previous relationship and admitted to being a “struggling” artist who had seen better days, financially speaking.
Whitaker is now claiming that Tila unceremoniously dumped him right after he revealed himself as the father of her baby, either because of that (because he spilled the beans) or because he’s poor. Or both.
“Even though I had nothing negative to say about Tila in my comment to you, and the two of us are soon to share a child with one another, Tila and I are not together as a couple and we are no longer pursuing a relationship with each other,” he tells Radar Online.
“She definitely isn’t living with me. I was trying to remain cordial without adding to her already notorious past, and now I am now experiencing the fallout from my generosity. Somehow because I went through hard times like a lot of other people when the economy took a decline, and had to file for bankruptcy, I’m somehow unsuitable to be connected to in a relationship,” Whitaker continues.
Then, although he’d said he would not say a bad word about the mother of his child, he adds that the media would never cover Tila again if they hear “the kind of comments [she] makes about them as individuals behind closed doors.”
As of now, the former reality star is still to say anything on the matter, which begs the question: how much of what Whitaker is saying is true? Considering that it’s just his word out there, he could have been lying from the start, from the moment he claimed to be the father of Tila’s baby until now, when he announced the “breakup.”
Being a struggling musician, he could have been looking for some media attention as well, so he grabbed the first opportunity he saw.
The other possibility is that Tila really did dump him, either because he’s poor or because he’s a loudmouth and didn’t keep a secret. We will probably never know for certain.
