14 DAY TRIAL // Demi Moore did it first but countless celebrities have followed suit, showing off their baby bumps in all their natural glory. Mariah Carey is the latest to bare it all for a photoshoot meant to celebrate this wonderful moment in her life.
One day after she got contractions and had to be rushed to the hospital for a pregnancy scare, Mariah was shooting for a Life & Style photospread, which sees her showing off her baby bump and talking about the twins.
The cover shot is already out – and it has Mariah covering her breasts with her arm and strands of her curly hair, while her belly takes center stage.
A bold caption screams “All About the Babies!” in caps, while smaller captions promise details about the active twins straight from Mariah and husband Nick.
Indeed, in the preview interview, Mariah talks about her first pregnancy (that she carries to term, because she miscarried once before) and how it’s made her have more respect and admiration for moms all over the world.
She also says that she thinks her daughter (she’s expecting a boy and a girl) will be a “diva” because she can’t stop fidgeting.
“I was feeling very vulnerable about taking pictures at all right now, but then I didn’t want to miss this opportunity to document this once-in-a-lifetime experience,” Mariah says of her decision to bare it all for the spread.
Keeping her fans in the loop with the pregnancy was what got her to agree to do the shoot.
“My ultimate goal was to share this incredibly personal moment with my true fans,” she explains.
“The babies were kicking almost the entire time; it was unbelievable. Especially the girl – clearly she’s a diva in training!” the singer jokes about how the shoot went.
“We didn’t start shooting until 1:30 a.m. because I was in the hospital from the night before until the day of the shoot with contractions five minutes apart!” Mariah adds.
