14 DAY TRIAL // The other day, 39-year-old rapper Lil’ Kim emerged into the spotlight at a fashion show at New York Fashion Week, showing off her huge baby bump and thus breaking the news to the world that she was expecting her first child. She’s already talking to the media about her big surprise.
Us Weekly got to chat with the rapper at the event, where she made sure everyone saw that she was pregnant by wearing a figure-hugging black dress with a very colorful and bejeweled front (and Hello Kitty Uggs underneath), and she unsurprisingly professed herself excited about the prospect of motherhood.
However, those thinking that a baby would somehow mellow her out, Lil’ Kim has some reassurance for you. “I'm still going to be hardcore. This baby has made me even more of a beast!” she said.
“I'm so excited, overjoyed! In heaven, waiting for my little sunshine,” the rapper added.
As for how pregnancy had influenced her famously risqué fashion choices, Lil’ Kim said that she was more about comfort than style now that she was expecting: no more corsets and naughty costumes, more of comfy sweats and PJs.
“But you know they’re cute,” the rapper added of her sweats “uniform,” making sure the readers of the magazine (and her fans) understood that she hadn’t lost her playful touch just yet.
Lil’ Kim also revealed that her biggest craving included pizza and vegetables, which actually suited her just fine because, this way, she could eat as much vegetable pizza as she wanted.
“I think in another month or two I'll start trying to exercise. My doctor is helping me through everything with being healthy and I feel so good right now. I'm still going to work. I'm going to be a working mom! New music and all that,” Lil’ Kim continued.
While Lil’ Kim initially refused to reveal the identity of the baby’s father, rapper Mr. Papers went on social media to claim that he was the daddy.
