According to the latest news on the Web, the highly-expected Palm Pre mobile phone will become available for pre-order one month before the actual release date. Though there are no specific details on when the handset will actually come to the market available at the moment, the one thing that is sure is that we'll know at least one month in advance its launch date.

The news site Prethinking has it that an email received from a Sprint Customer Service Specialist unveils the carrier's plans to make the Pre available for pre-order one month before the device actually hits the shelves: “Once launch date is fixed, you will also be able to Pre-order this handset online.”

While this might only be a rumor, it is good to know that Sprint and Palm thought about allowing users to pre-order the handset in advance, for this way we'll be able to learn both the exact launch date and the price tag it will feature, though the pre-order cost might be a little higher than the actual price tag the phone will sport when it will become available.

Another thing that is worth mentioning here is that the rumor proves that previous reports that the Palm Pre could land sometime in mid-May, on the 16th to be more precise, were false. As there is less than a month until that day, there are little chances for the phone to be unleashed, which means that a launch in June is far more likely to become reality.

As always when it comes to rumors, only time will show which are true and which are false, yet we hope that Sprint will soon announce officially that the Pre is available for pre-order, and we'll be able to make the calculations to learn when it will hit the shelves. Let's hope we won't have to wait too long for that to happen.
