14 DAY TRIAL // Developed by MiniMega, Pot Smash was launched on Android platform almost two weeks ago, but only as a free preview.
MiniMega stated that the exclusive preview for Android users is available on the Android Market before it hits the iOS App Store and can be played for free for a limited time.
Two weeks after the free preview, MiniMega announces the release and immediate availability of Pot Smash 1.0, their first new mobile gaming title for Android.
The gameplay is pretty simple, as the game uses visual scanning, word skills and quick reactions to crack and smash pots.
It appears that the game's addictive tactile nature is the main reason that will make users return to the game to challenge their high scores.
“Pot Smash is a simple casual game that piggybacks on a fundamental human truth, we all love smashing stuff. Pot Smash is a tension-releasing, instant gratification, feel-good game. We needed a project that was simple with a quick turn-around time because this is our first title for a mobile device. We're very interested to see what happens after the game goes live,” said Ben Huxter, MiniMega founder/creative.
Players will be challenged to smash teapots, flower pots and water pots to unlock new game modes and test their skills against the clock.
Some of the features of the game include simple tap interface, 4 unique game modes, addictive gameplay, and pot smashing satisfaction.
“We use games and games thinking to help brands achieve marketing objectives, and we also work on independent projects. Games are all about play. They have to be entertaining, but must also serve a broader need, be it educational, social, or even motivational. Of course ultimately, a game has to be fun,” said Adam Corney, head of Marketing, MiniMega.
Pot Smash 1.0 for Android is now available as a free download from Android Market and is compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up.
It is also worth mentioning that the iOS version can be purchased from the App Store for $0.99 USD.
