The Pokemon Company and Nintendo have announced that on April 13 all those players who have bought the new Black and White video games will be able to use the newly launched Global Link system, which allows them to interact with other Pokemon trainers all over the world.

The Pokemon Global Link requires any version of the new Nintendo DS release and an Internet link, alongside a Trainer Club account.

The two features introduced are the Pokemon Dream World and Global Battle Union.

The Dream World allows a player to go into the dreams of his creatures, a whole new world that comes complete with a unique look.

There gamers can do a number of exclusive mini games that allows them to access and use a number of creatures that are not part of the main game.

Both Pokemons and other rewards obtained in the Dream World can then be transferred into the Black and White games and used as any other items to help the player.

The Global Battle Union allows players to log in and watch a number of online battles between ranked players and to unlock a number of new battle based features in their offline games.

Gamers who are interested in being ranked need to first create a Trainer account and then access the Random Matchup Rating Mode in their copy of the game.

Nintendo says that other Pokemon linked content will be delivered through the new Global Link all through 2011.

J.C. Smith, who is the director of Consumer Marketing at the The Pokémon Company International, stated, “The PokémonGlobal Link further expands the world of Pokémon and enhances the global connectivity of Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version.

He added, “Pokémon has always been about communicating and battling with others, and the Pokémon Global Link has taken that philosophy to a new and exciting level.”
