Nintendo has confirmed that it will be launching the Western version of the Pokemon Black and White 2 on October 7 in North America and on October 12 in Europe, on the normal DS systems and on the new 3DS for those willing to only use the 3D mode.

On the same dates, gamers will also be able to download the Dream Radar spin-off from the eShop, which will allow gamers to catch a number of Pokemon characters, including a number of very rare ones, by using the camera on the 3DS, and then transfer them to Black and White 2.

Fans of the franchise will also be able to pick up another spin-off, called Pokedex 3D Pro, which is designed to give a lot of information on the game universe and on every Pokemon that has ever been featured in a video game.

Pokemon Black & White 2 will take players back to the Unova region that they have already explored once, two years after events seen in the original games.

The areas that they know are now changed and there are also new spaces to explore and new Pokemon to hunt down and then add to the party.

Familiar characters also return as players engage with a new narrative thread that will once again feature a destructive force that seeks to use the Pokemon for its own purposes.

New Pokemon featured in Pokemon Black & White 2 include Eevee, Riolu, Tyranitar, Arcanine and Mareep, which come from outside the Unova region, and there are also hard to find creatures like the new impressive Therian Formes for legendary level Pokémon like Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus.

Pokemon Black & White 2 has already been released in Japan and the game managed to sell close to 1.6 million units during the first week on sale.
