SuperBot Entertainment and Sony have confirmed that a public beta stage for their upcoming PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale fighting game would be held this fall and they have even discussed about the leaked details that appeared earlier this week.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is set to deliver a special fighting experience, as various characters from different Sony-owned franchises, as well as ones from third-party properties, are going to be pitted one against the other in all sorts of matches.

We have already heard quite a few things about PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale and even saw a few interesting videos in recent months.

Now, developer SupetBot Entertainment confirmed that, once the closed beta stage is over, it’s going to allow everyone to try out the game before its launch this October.

“Last week, SuperBot Entertainment and PlayStation invited a small group of players to get a hands-on preview of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale as part of our early development beta. We’re beginning to test our servers and connectivity issues as we work towards rolling out a public beta to the entire PlayStation nation this Autumn,” the studio said.

SuperBot also tackled the issue of the major leak that happened earlier this week, which showcased many unannounced characters and stages from the future fighting game.

According to the studio, work is still being done on PlayStation All-Stars, so the leaked things aren’t guaranteed to appear in the final game.

“There was an unexpected and unintended leak in our beta that allowed fans to see some additional content. We’ve enjoyed reading all of the fan reactions and are thrilled that so many of you are excited to learn more about our character roster and level mash-ups, however, we are still in development and the leaked content does not fully represent the final product, nor the incredible efforts that were made to make these elements truly spectacular.”

Plenty of new things will be officially unveiled in the near future, according to the studio, starting with a new character who’ll be presented at Gamesom 2012 later this month.
