In the console war that is close to dividing the entire world into 2 factions: the Xboxers and the Playstationers, every bit of exclusive content counts as a small step towards one or
another's victory. And sometimes the developer's affinity towards a specific gaming console seems funny enough to make you seriously think if this war really worths all the hype that's surrounding it.
One of the latest exclusive that could be translated as "advantage PS3", but far from "game, set and match" comes from 2K Sports' new tennis title - Top Spin 3 - a great, exciting game nevertheless, that allows you control some of the top tennis players in the world, plus Anna Kournikova. Still, it seems that, in order to really be able to control all these great players, you need a specific console.
Following 2K Sports' lineup announcement for Top Spin 3, we find out that one of the greatest tennis players in the world at the time being, Rafael Nadal, will only be available for the PlayStation 3 version. Anybody surprised? If so, you need to know that things won't stop here: tennis legends Boris Becker, Bjorn Borg and Monica Seles will also be "divided" between the platforms and, since it's only three of them, we would bet that the PS3 version will have another advantage. Now, knowing that, we really wonder if we will ever see a FIFA game where Ronaldinho is only available on one console...
Beef aside, slated for a spring 2008 release, will feature on both platforms players like Maria Sharapova, Roger Federer, Justine Henin, Amelie Mauresmo, Tommy Haas and many more. It will also feature signature player animations and expressions, so you will really feel like you're actually Maria Sharapova if you choose to bring her the utmost virtual glory. Top Spin 3 will be available for Xbox 360 consoles, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii and DS.

| Comment #1.1 by: 2hsports on 11 Sep 2008, 15:32 GMT | agreed this is so bs i got the game to play as nadal and hes not even in it. |
| Comment #2 by: mii on 17 Jul 2008, 19:45 GMT | reply to this comment | I agree. I got this game for the wii because of nadal and now i can't play as him either. This is a load of bs. The game makers are playen favorites and/or they're lazy jerks. They should have just put the classic players and nadal on every console. |
| Comment #3 by: ben ??? on 18 Jul 2008, 14:56 GMT | reply to this comment | it is right that all players should be on every game i also want 2 buy(n i will) the game for nadal but im ok coz iv gt ps3 but he should b e on both console ps3 rules!!! |
| Comment #4 by: you on 28 Aug 2008, 00:48 GMT | reply to this comment | I knew topspin 3 did not have nadal on the 360, but i still bought it because it is the best tennis game out there. I just can't believe that those assholes at 2K sports would put nadal on only one consol. Other tennis games that are worse than this have nadal on every consol. Nadal is #1 now and i think 2K sports had no right to break people's hearts by doing something so wrong as to giving only the ps3 nadal. |
| Comment #5 by: bumchugger on 11 Sep 2008, 18:10 GMT | reply to this comment | it sucks that nadal is only on ps3, i realy liked topspin2 and i thought 3 would be even better cus nadal would be in it. 360 still rules and im still buyin top spin 3 |
| Comment #6 by: ghfghfgh on 29 Sep 2008, 06:23 GMT | reply to this comment | That is the most petty thing I have seen so far and would make me buy a PS3 even less now.
Forget it if you have a 360 just get Virtual tennis, half the price of this and every bit as good and the 360 version has full online play whereas it has none in the PS3 version.. |
