The world leader in communications headsets, Plantronics have introduced their new Discovery 665 Bluetooth headset to the public. The headset comes with the AudioIQ technology that ameliorates the quality of sound and automatically optimizes audio levels on both ends of every call.

In the case of incoming calls, AudioIQ will automatically adapt to the background noise level and improve the received quality, clarity and volume level. It will automatically dissolve distortion when the user is in a noisy area. Thanks to this technology, background noise will also be reduced to 7-8 decibels (approximately 50 percent) for listeners, in the case of outgoing calls.

The Discovery 665 also includes the QuickPair technology that provides a considerably simplified way of pairing the handset with Bluetooth devices. If no device history is present, the handset will automatically initiate pairing mode when powered. If the pairing is successful, the headset will stay on for instant use, while if the pairing has failed, the headset will automatically shut off after 10 minutes.

The design was not neglected either, and apart from providing the user with enhanced sound for clearer conversations, Plantronics also manages to keep the headset sleek, stylish and with a weight of only 9 grams.

The difference between the new Discovery 665 and the Discovery 655 provided so far by Plantronics is barely noticeable, that is, if there is any difference at all. But mainly, Plantronics' Discovery 665 headset can be considered a newer and improved version of the 655.

The headset can be recharged via PC with the USB charger and it will be available to the public starting February with a price tag of $149.95
