More than 100,000 Haptic handsets sold by Samsung

Samsung Haptic, the high-end touchscreen handset unveiled by the South Korean company at the end of March (this year, of course), is now available in a new and fashionable pink color and it will also be released in a white version. These new colors are added to the original black edition, offering users more options to choose from.

Together with the announcement regarding the new versions, Samsung also unveiled that the Haptic handset was sold until now (in less than two months since its release) in more than 100,000 units - only in South Korea, Samsung's homeland, the only area the device is available in, for the moment. Considering the high retail price of the handset (700,000 Won - around $670 or 430 Euro), the 100,000 units mark a great achievement for Samsung.

The Haptic (also known as AnyCall Haptic or Samsung SCH-420) has a design similar to several other full touchscreen handsets, but this is not necessarily a bad thing. Actually, the phone looks very nice and it also packs a wide range of advanced features, therefore it's somehow understandable that the South Korean users are so crazy about it.

The highlights of Samsung Haptic include a 3.2 touchscreen display with haptic feedback and a 16:9 contrast ratio, an easy to use and customizable full-touch user interface, mobile TV capabilities, Bluetooth, full Web browser, Music and Video players and a 2 Megapixel camera - all packed in a 12 mm thin case.

Samsung Haptic's availability on other markets except the South Korean one is uncertain and it's possible that the phone will never be released in other countries. However, users across the globe will find similar devices to purchase, if they really want to. For example, US users will be able to own the Samsung Insinct (which is not too different from Haptic), a handset planned to be released in June, via Sprint.
