14 DAY TRIAL // Unveiled exactly one year ago, Nokia N8 was the target of mixed reviews from analysts and users alike. Considered Nokia's flagship Symbian smartphone, the N8 will soon be available in pink.
The Finnish handset manufacturer has just revealed that a pink color version of the popular Nokia N8 will add to the already wide range of colors available on the market: Dark Grey, Silver White, Green, Blue and Orange.
Although Nokia has yet to announce the precise release date of the pink model, it states that the smartphone has the same hardware specs as the original.
It appears that the pink Nokia N8 will be delivered with Symbian Anna on board, along with Pink Diva Theme, a Pink Neon Clock, as well as an ELLE fashion app meant to keep users up-to-date with the latest fashion, beauty and celebrity news.
“Following the fantastic response to the range of colors we launched for the Nokia N8, it seemed a natural step to extend this choice. The Nokia N8 in pink complements the original line up well with its expressive, intense hue,” said Rachael Bell, senior designer, Nokia.
It looks like Nokia really took into consideration the fact that pink was voted as the color of the year for 2011 by Pantone, and quickly decided to turn one of its new Symbian^3 smartphones available in this vivid color.
Those who are still not sure if the N8 is really worth its high price should know that this was Nokia's first smartphone to run on Symbian^3 mobile platform.
Equipped with one of the best CPUs included with a Nokia phone, a 680 MHz ARM 11 processor, and complemented by Broadcom BCM2727 GPU, Nokia N8 is surely to offer a smooth multimedia and multitasking experience to its users.
Additionally, the N8 comes with a large 3.5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors support and 360 x 640 pixels resolution.
The main attraction of the smartphone is the superior 12-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, Xenon flash and video recording capabilities (720p@25fps), as well as unique minimalistic look.
