A new unannounced Nokia smartphone, namely the 5730 XpressMusic, has already made it to the Web, through a lot of photos presenting the device. The Nokia 5730 XpressMusic is a candybar mobile phone that seems to include a slide-out QWERTY keyboard that complements the handset's standard numeric keypad.

According to the news, the Nokia 5730 XpressMusic will include the company's S60 3rd Edition with the Feature Pack 2 user interface, but it will also sport a range of new special software features as well. The music-oriented phone sports a trio of dedicated music playback keys placed alongside the edge of the display, which are complemented by one-touch access to the Say and Play feature.

The handset comes with a 3.2-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens, autofocus and LED flash and features a 2-inch QVGA display that delivers a 240x320 pixel resolution and offers 16 million colors. The vibrant display changes its layout to landscape as soon as the QWERTY keyboard slides out, and the slider is reported to be able do so with great ease.

On the edge of the phone we can also find a 3.5mm audio jack, a microSD memory card slot that seems to support even 32GB cards, as well as a microUSB socket. The Nokia 5730 XpressMusic also comes with a sizable navigation cluster that features medium-sized, yet soft-to-press buttons. Other features of the device include Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, GPS and WiFi for Web surfing.

The handset packs a 1000 mAh Li-Ion battery able to offer up to 270 hours of standby, 26 hours of music, 4.55 hours of talk time, as well as about 150 minutes of video recording and 180 minutes of video playback. No details on the release date or the actual price of the device have been unveiled.

More photos and specs of the new Nokia 5730 XpressMusic can be found on Mobile-Review, which presented the phone in detail.
