Capcom knows when it has a hit on its hands. And no, for once we are not talking about the recently launched Street Fighter IV, which has been widely reported on lately as it has registered good sales numbers and received positive reviews. Today, we're talking about Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix, a remake of the classic game in the series, which was offered as a download through Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network. The title was a success in itself, establishing a record, at the time, for content offered through Xbox Live.

Now, Capcom is saying that it plans to offer a host of tweaks, changes and bug fixes in an upcoming patch, addressing the problems that gamers have been talking about since the release of Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix.

A representative of the company stated that the patch would not in any way affect the balance of the game. Rey Jimenez, who is a producer on the game, addressed complaints related to Akum, as has stated that “I'm not saying that he's definitely balanced, but before we start tinkering with the balance, we want to make sure we're making the right move,” which basically means that Capcom will wait some time before the powers and abilities of the various characters are changed.

Here are the things that will be fixed in the patch: after a number of games, the HUD will be corrupt. Yellow lifebars will freeze, the round counter flags will all be on, and the names will show more than one; frequent disconnects during VS transition screen, often caused by selecting START color of character; title crashes if user has a large friends list and tries to access it; rating being set to "0" and from then on, rating remains at "0." Once that patch goes live, we'll reset all; leaderboards/scoreboards; Vega sometimes causing desyncing, especially when using the fake wall dive; lobby list containing full rooms instead of rooms that only users can enter; Zangief Super Motion not working on both sides and in both directions; analog and D-pad can accept input at the same time; player stats not reporting correctly.
