HP/Palm is one of the companies set to bring to the market a series of very appealing devices next year, and two of them are expected to stand up in the crowd, including the Palm Mansion, as well as the PalmPad, supposedly the first tablet PC from the company.

We've already had the chance to learn some info on these devices, though nothing was officially unveiled on the matter, and some more details on the Palm Mansion reportedly emerged into the wild.

The same as other makers around the world, including Dell with its Streak tablet PC, Palm seems set to bring to shelves a device that would boast a 5-inch touchscreen display.

Rumor has it that this webOS device would be the Mansion, and that the phone maker would be set to launch it in early 2011, while making it available for purchase during the first quarter of the year.

There are not too many details available on this device, but some suggest it might boast a 800 x 480 pixels (WVGA) resolution on that display.

Since the Palm Mansion was said to come with the high-resolution full touchscreen display, and since the mobile phone maker was rumored to plan the release of a smartphone with a 5-inch touchscreen display, the guys over at Go Rumors suggest that the two would be one and the same product.

Of course, nothing was confirmed on this for the time being, but there are good changes that the Mansion would indeed be this high-end smartphone, and not another smaller tablet PC from Palm.

At the same time, the news site suggests that the launch of this device would indeed happen within the next three months, which means that we should expect for CES or MWC to bring forth some additional details on the matter.

In all fairness, Palm itself confirmed that it was getting ready to launch some pretty impressive webOS 2.0-based hardware next year, and, even if nothing specific was unveiled on this, the Mansion might be one of these devices.
