Starting today, 3 Italy's customers will be able to get themselves Palm's Treo 750 smartphone, providing the Palm experience, a Windows Mobile 5 operating system and HSDPA capabilities.

The smartphone will help 3's subscribers stay connected at all times, combining quite a few important features for business users including email, messaging, web browsing, the versatile Windows Mobile OS as well as a series of applications enabling the viewing and editing of office documents.

Its capabilities will help business users stay productive and work efficiently even while out of the office. They'll be able to receive emails from multiple business and personal accounts and access the web at faster speeds on 3G/UMTS networks. It supports 850/900/1800/1900 GSM bands, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA and includes a Samsung processor running at 300Mhz, 128 MB/60MB nonvolatile flash memory, a 65k color screen with a 240 x 240 pixel resolution and a MicroSD card slot for memory expansion.

The Treo 750 can also be used for entertainment purposes and packs a media player with support for several audio file formats, a 1.3 megapixel camera with 2x digital zoom and video recording, IrDA and Bluetooth for connectivity with stereo headset support.

Measuring 113mm x 59mm x 21mm and weighing 154 grams, its rather bulkier than other such devices, but this will most likely not stop Palm fans from getting one. On a full charge, the handheld will last for up to 4.5 hours of talk time on GSM networks and around 10 days on standby. There is currently no information regarding the price tag it will have on 3.
