From Software isn't that experienced with making games for the PC

From Software, the developer behind the very successful Dark Souls role-playing game, has admitted that the development of the upcoming PC version of the title, dubbed Prepare to Die Edition, has been quite tricky due to the studio’s lack of experience with the platform.

Dark Souls built upon its predecessor, Demon’s Souls, and delivered a very challenging experience on the PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms.

Now, From Software is working on a PC adaptation, called Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition.

According to the studio, however, the development is quite hard, as the Japanese team is inexperienced with the PC platform.

"To be completely honest, we're having a tough time doing it due to our lack of experience and knowledge in terms of porting to PC. First we thought it would be a breeze, but it's turned out not to be the case. We're still developing right now - we're crunching right now," the team told Eurogamer.

Even so, the studio is confident that everything will be all right come August 31, when the game is released for the PC.
