PC - Online FPS set in WW II – C-Onsoft's '2WAR'

- WW II based Online FPS? That's a first

By: Filip Truta, Games Editor

It's true that there are various first-person-shooters based on the worst conflagration
the world has ever seen: World War II. However, online WW II based FPSs are something new to the gaming world. Why do you think C-On soft decided to make such a game? FPSs are limited in terms of expansion of the game, if not tailored for online play. Once you do all the campaigns, the game's over and done with and all you can hope for is a sequel. With 2WAR, C-Onsoft will patch the update, fixing bugs every month, not to mention that you'll be fighting in a WW II setting against real people, not some stinkin' AI.

Main features of WW II based online FPS, 2WAR are:

Large group Battle:

- the game consists of 3 Episodes. If you start the game, you will be able to play individual game modes, Episode 1, 16 vs 16;
- when you become a private first class, you will be able to play 32 vs 32 clan battles;
- supports 50 vs 50 having the separate exclusive group battle server later on (still to be decided).

Authentic Maps and Weapons:

- play at various famous historical battlefields as they are in the middle of the war;
- a great variety of famous battle fields and notable locations (indoor and outdoor), like Omaha beach from the Normandy breakout, Ardennes from the battle of Buldge, the port of Dieppe, Auschwitz or Stalingrad;
- characters, weapons, clothes, every items in 2WAR are designed to feature authentic WWII history.

Various game modes:

- currently the game features individual death match, team death match, capture the flag mode, capture the fortress mode and mission mode that you have to achieve the mission before the opponents, available for both episodes mentioned above;
- Episode 3 will provide vehicles

I hear you can download the game right away, but I can't find the necessary instructions anywhere. Oh well, they'll turn up.
