This might be the final multiplayer event organized by BioWare

BioWare announced that a special new multiplayer event for Mass Effect 3, called Operation: LODESTAR, is now live, strongly suggesting that this will be the final event that the studio organizes for the game.

The official text from the fictional Admiral Steven Hackett reads, "N7 unit actions will pave the way for resistance and conventional forces trying to retake the population centers of our homeworlds. There is no retreat. When an objective is finished or a target destroyed, you will immediately focus on the next."

The description ends with the phrase "Finish it," which probably means that, from now on, BioWare is planning to no longer create new events for the multiplayer side of Mass Effect 3.

There are three individual goals: participation with extraction on any difficulty, extraction against all enemy factions on Silver, and extraction on Platinum.

Each of the objectives comes with a special Commendation Pack.
