We will probably hear about more such events happening from now on. Another Nokia battery has exploded, although this time there was no victim around.

A Nokia mobile battery of the BL-5C series exploded while it was being charged at a shop in Asansol in West Bengal. No one was in the nearby of the handset, which was the main cause for the lack of victims in this case.

The problem that Nokia batteries have presented while charging over the last period has really come to great proportions. The company will surely have to face similar reports from time to time, reminding them how much they failed with their BL-5C line of batteries, not long ago.

An average number of 46 million such products needed replacement, after more than 100 of them had showed malfunction. They heat excessively during charging, with high chances of exploding. Which has also happened several times until now. This time, we are not talking about replaced handset parts with cheaper ones, but the original ones.

Just two days ago, a 24 year-old pregnant woman from South Kolkata was injured after her mobile phone exploded during the charging process. In this case, it was not even one of the faulty products, but a Nokia 2100 handset with a BL-3D battery. Because of this, it looks like the Finnish producer is experiencing a serious problem with all its products, not only the specific lot and might be up to a serious crisis in the future.

The company will surely have to face a serious drop in confidence coming from their customers. No other handset producer has had to face such a problem until now, which makes it even surprising to see him in this situation.
