Android fans rejoice, as the official Race Of Champions mobile racing game will soon make its way on the Android platform.

Moreover, the game will also be ported on Apple's iOS platform and will be full compatible with iPhone and iPad devices.

The game will be co-published with Invictus and is expected to go live in late October ahead of the 2011 edition of the Race Of Champions, which is held in Düsseldorf on December 3-4.

According to the developers, the game will include tracks and cars from different editions of the famous Race Of Champions (ROC) event, including tarmac and off-road racing.

In line with our overall media strategy we are delighted to be pushing the envelope with our exclusive game as well. Invictus have managed to produce the most advanced graphics seen on these new platforms resulting in a stunningly faithful representation of our event,” said IMP president Fredrik Johnsson.

It appears that important names will provide their input to make the game feel more real.

Veteran drivers have agreed to share some of their experience with game's developers, including ROC's co-founder and world rally legend Michèle Mouton and Marc Duez, a multiple winner of the Nürburgring and Spa 24-Hour races and a former European Rally Champion.

We are thrilled to be given the opportunity to work with the Race Of Champions franchise. The concept of the event provides us with the basis for a highly original race game concept which, combined with our custom built racing technology, will provide racing fans with a truly unique experience,” concluded Tamas Kozak of Invictus.

For those who are not familiar with the Race Of Champions annual end-of-season competition, the event brings together some of the most experienced drivers from Formula 1, world rally, touring cars, Le Mans and NASCAR.
