Owners of a BlackBerry Z10 smartphone in Europe can now download and install a new platform release on their devices, namely OS 10.0.10.822 (software version 10.0.10.116), the same operating system version that is being officially pushed to AT&T’s version of the handset.

However, this OS does not come via official channels, but as a leaked build, and users interested in grabbing it are advised to be cautious.

The software is compatible only with BlackBerry Z10 STL100-2, though it might work on STL100-3 and STL100-4 models as well.

Before proceeding with the installation, users should back up all data on the smartphone, so as to make sure that they won’t lose important files if something goes wrong in the process and a factory wipe is required.

The platform can be installed on the BlackBerry Z10 via a Windows PC, as CrackBerry reports. Those who will download the leaked OS version to install it will do so at their own risk.
