Following the official unveiling of the Nokia Lumia 925, wireless carriers announced plans to add it to their offerings, with O2 UK being one of them.

The operator will have exclusivity on the White flavor of the smartphone, which is set to become available for purchase on its network on June 13, 2013.

Additionally, the company announced that it planned on putting the smartphone on pre-order status starting with May 30.

“The Lumia 925 will go on sale on O2’s new O2 Refresh tariffs and is the first Nokia phone without a charger as part of O2’s ‘Chargers out of the Box’ environmental initiative,” the wireless carrier announced.

The new mobile phone arrives on the market with the same internal hardware as the Lumia 920, but sports a new outer design, with an aluminum frame on the side.

Furthermore, the new device features an enhanced camera on the back, with what Nokia claims to be the most advanced lens technology in a smartphone.

Additionally, the Finnish phone maker packed the new smartphone with next-generation imaging software, so that users could capture clearer, sharper pictures and videos, even in low light conditions.

The Nokia Lumia 925 sports the new Nokia Smart Camera mode, which will be offered to all Lumia Windows Phone 8 smartphones in the form of a future software update.

The software provides users with an easy way to capture up to ten images at once and then edit them to create the perfect shot, courtesy of options such as Best Shot, Action Shot, and Motion Focus.

“Nokia has been going from strength to strength with Lumia and the 925 is the best Nokia Windows Phone 8 device yet,” said David Johnson, O2’s General Manager Devices.

“We’ve been big supporters of Windows Phone and it’s great to generate even more excitement around it with the new flagship Nokia Lumia 925.”

In celebration of Lumia 925’s arrival, O2 will be offering Nokia fans the possibility to win a special number for the device, namely 07525 925 925. Users interested in the matter should tweet @O2 using hashtag #lumiamazing before 31 May, the wireless carrier announced.
