14 DAY TRIAL // UK wireless operator O2 announced on Friday the introduction of a new tariff for users of an iPhone, a SIM only plan that includes Visual Voicemail, unlimited text messages, data and Wi-Fi from just £15 per month. At the same time, the mobile phone carrier also revealed that it had updated all of its Pay Monthly and Mobile Broadband tariffs to deliver better value to its customers.
“Customers who already have an iPhone or are just happy with their existing Smartphone can choose from a range of sim only tariffs starting at just £15 per month for 300 minutes, unlimited UK texts, data & Wi-Fi on a 12-month sim only contract, or from £20 per month on a 30-day rolling contract. Those customers who don’t ever want to worry about how many minutes or texts or how much data they have used, O2 introduces a set of tariffs offering unlimited UK calls, texts and data from just £45 a month,” the carrier announced.
In addition, it also stated that it had introduced a new Internet Tethering Bolt On option for those iPhone owners who want to use their device as a modem, enabling them to do so while paying only £2 per day. Moreover, carrrier's subscribers who do not own a smartphone can also enjoy a series of sim only tariffs that start at only £10 for 100 minutes per month with unlimited texts on a 30-day contract. In addition, O2 also puts in place a new range of tariffs that offer unlimited UK calls and texts from just £40 a month, the company notes.
“Customers’ habits are changing, with more texts being sent and data being used than ever before. We have listened to our customers and introduced a range of new tariffs with unlimited calls, texts and data offering real value for money. We have also introduced a new £2 per day Internet Tethering Bolt On as we know our iPhone customers want to snack when they are using their iPhone as a modem. We have always been the home for texts and now want to extend that to being home for data,” said Sally Cowdry, O2 Marketing Director.
A series of new mobile broadband tariffs have been also introduced at O2, including a 1GB per month tariff that offers unlimited Wi-Fi on a 30-day contract or an 18-month contract. The new plan has been launched in addition to the already existing 3GB with unlimited Wi-Fi tariff for £15 per month, O2 states, adding that those who will choose any 18-month 3GB mobile broadband tariff will benefit from their first 3 months of service for free.
