Word got out in the media yesterday that NueveMom, as she was instantly dubbed, was pregnant with 9 babies whom she'd be delivering in a little than a month.

The Huffington Post confirmed the news. She had become pregnant by IVF, was having a healthy pregnancy and was eager to meet her children soon.
TMZ has now learned that the whole thing might have been just a hoax, since Perez isn't pregnant at all.
“NueveMom is no mas, this according to Univision, which has information that could prove the woman who was allegedly pregnant with 9 babies... isn't really pregnant at all,” the celebrity e-zine reports.
It would seem that the doctor who saw Perez confirmed that she wasn't really pregnant.
“Univision published a report claiming a reporter spoke with a Mexican doctor who performed an ultrasound on Karla Vanessa Perez and determined her uterus was 'empty',” TMZ says.
“The doctor told a reporter she was unaware of any other ultrasounds that may have been performed and says the local Health Dept. is trying to find out who told Karla she was pregnant in the first place,” adds the same media outlet.
If this is a hoax, it was probably done with the consent of the local news agencies who ran the story of the nueve-pregnancy – or else, one could conclude that they did not bother to check all their facts beforehand.
As The Huffington Post can confirm, both Televisa and Notimex ran the story, with the latter even including a direct quote from Perez, who said she hadn't had time to think of baby names because she was too focused, for the time being, on wishing all kids were born healthy.
