Street Fighter IV is, without a doubt, one of the most popular fighting franchises of all times. It has won over millions of fans with its first arcade games and, thanks to the very customized lineup of fighters, has ensured that gamers from all over the world will have someone to identify themselves with.

Capcom, the company behind this great series, has now decided to revive it, and already launched a High Definition version of one of the most popular games from the franchise, entitled Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. The title was launched a few weeks ago on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade, and will make fans eagerly anticipate the new iteration of the franchise, Street Fighter IV, which will be released at the beginning of next year.

We've already talked about the future game that will be released on February 14, and about the fact that it promises to bring back a lot of the popular characters as well as introduce some new ones, who will enhance the gaming experience. We have also recently reported the contents of the limited editions of this game that will be launched in Europe and Australia, but no word was released by Capcom regarding the ones that will appear in North America.

That is, up until now, as GameStop has just announced that the Limited Edition of Street Fighter IV will be available at the price of 79.99 dollars. However, don't think that it will be the same as the European LE, because there is a big difference between the two, despite the fact that this version has about the same features as the European one, like an anime movie portraying the story until the game's beginning, five downloadable costumes for different characters, or a strategy guide for the new fighter in the game.

The big drawback of the North American editions is that the two collectible figurines, namely of Ryu and Crimson Viper, one of the new characters in the game, will be split according to consoles. As such, PlayStation 3 owners will get the Ryu figure, and Xbox 360 will receive Crimson Viper. This is definitely some bad news for North American Street Fighter fans, who have been eagerly anticipating this new game and the goodies that the Limited Edition would bring.

Nevertheless, as a token of appreciation, the editions will feature a soundtrack CD with songs from the game. Let's just hope that Capcom will deliver a great game and make SF fans happy.
