And the war continues

Apple's war with all other mobile phone manufacturers has reached hilarious situations as of today. Nokia decided to answer Apple with the new launch of its highly-acclaimed iPhone 4. If you were thinking that the Finnish giant has plans to announce a better device than the iPhone or a marvelous one that will infringe about a dozen of the latter's registered patents, you're wrong.

The official Nokia Blog has just published an article presenting a few possible ways you can hold your Nokia phone. Nothing unsual here, if you're not familiar with iPhone's 4 GSM signal reception issues. Basically, we are presented with about four possible ways of holding your Nokia mobile phone (you can see that in the pictures), as well with the explanations for each and every picture.

According to Nokia, “We’ve found any of the four grips mentioned above to be both comfortable and as you can see, offer no signal degradation whatsoever.” For an iPhone user, this is not even funny, but for those that are just laughing at the rising numbers of problems that iPhone's 4 shows in the last days, this is pure hardcore irony. There's not a tint of refinement, it's like saying that none of the Nokia devices ever manufactured has GSM signal issues like the iPhone 4 appears to.

And if that's not enough, Nokia continues, “The key function on any Nokia device is its ability to make phone calls. After all, that’s why we know them universally as mobile phones. One of the main things we’ve found about the 1 billion plus Nokia devices that are in use today is that when making a phone call, people generally tend to hold their phone like a…. well, like a phone.” Let us translate it for you – Nokia makes mobiles that are able to make phone calls, while Apple has a problem with that (read they don't make such phones).

Furthermore, the Finnish giant ’s final statement could be considered iPhone's 4 will, “Providing a wide range of methods and grips for people to hold their phones, without interfering with the antennae has been an essential feature of every device Nokia has built.”

One thing is certain, Nokia offers its users mobile phones that can be hold in any way they feel like, while Apple sells an item that comes with a strict user's manual, which should indicate how you cannot hold your iPhone when you want to make phone calls. We'd say Nokia – Apple 1-0! For the full official article click here.
