Nokia N900 is not the only handset from the leading mobile phone maker Nokia which received a firmware update these days, it seems, as Nokia N86 and Nokia E72 also line up in a row to enjoy their own share of new software solutions. According to the reports around the Internet, N86 has just been updated to 21.006, while E72 received the 22.007 firmware solution.

Starting with the Nokia N86, we should mention that the new software solution available for it is only a minor update, which replaces firmware version 20.115 previously available on the handset. It is said to be more like a maintenance release, meant mainly to improve the performance of the device and to fix a series of bugs the N86 previously included.

The new firmware update for N86 weighs in at 700kb, and can be downloaded either over the air or via the Nokia Software Update. According to those who already installed the solution, the overall performance of the handset is improved. Those interested in the update should also consider backing up the data on their device before proceeding, just to make sure that nothing important is lost during the updating process.

According to the guys over at All About Symbian, the Nokia N86 has already been promised a major firmware update, yet nothing specific on when it might arrive on handsets has emerged so far. However, the new software solution comes to all Nokia N86 users out there, and they should experience an increased responsiveness from the handset.

As for the Nokia E72, it seems that the new 22.007 firmware solution for it is available for the Euro version, though the NAM model might still have to wait before it arrives to it too. According to some who already installed it, there seem to be some bug fixes included in the new software solution, along with some new themes, yet a detailed change log still hasn't emerged for the time being.
