Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has just announced that its high-end Nokia N8 smartphone won't come to the market at the end of September, as initially planned, but a few weeks later, due to some issues with the device.

According to the leading handset vendor, it already registered a great deal of pre-orders for the device, but shipments won't land during the last week of September, as expected.

The company plans on making “some final amends” before pushing the high-end mobile phone to the market, just as to make sure that it can provide a great user experience.

“The amount of preorders has exceeded our expectations and we are working hard to deliver the Nokia N8 to the market,” the mobile phone maker announced, a recent article on Engadget notes.

“In some markets, we had planned to start delivering the Nokia N8s to our pre-order customers by the end of September. To ensure a great user experience, we have decided to hold the shipments for a few weeks to do some final amends.”

According to Nokia, its customers should rejoice when receiving their devices, and the wait would be worthwhile.

“We're thrilled with the response that we've had to the Nokia N8 and assure everyone who've pre-ordered it already that it'll be worth the wait! We expect consumers to get their Nokia N8s during October,” Nokia announced.

Originally slated for launch on the market before the end of the summer, the Nokia N8 was pushed back to the end of September, and, as you can see, got delayed even more.

In all fairness, some previous reports on Nokia N8's arrival did point towards possible software issues with the device, which might determine Nokia to push it back a little, but they seemed more like rumors at that time.

In the end, it appears that those who might have been expecting for the device to be shipped to them as soon as this week would have to wait a little more.

Hopefully, Nokia would be able to deliver the device to user's hands sooner rather than later. Keep an eye on this space for more on this.

Update: Nokia already came up with a new statement on the matter, saying that no delays are in place, and that N8 would land in users' hands in October.
