Nokia Lumia 800 Officially Introduced in Denmark

Denmark wasn’t among the first European countries to get the Lumia 800 back in November 2011. Two months after the smartphone’s official announcement, Nokia Lumia 800 becomes available for purchase in Denmark starting this week.

The phone’s suggested retail price is 420 EUR (550 USD), but regional retailers might have this one subsidized and offered for a much lower price.

Nokia Lumia 800 launch event took place on the Danish National Soccer Stadium when the Finnish handset maker invited 150 VIPs who were taken by surprise.

According to Nokia, "the audience was treated to a 20 minute non-stop show, featuring DJ Noize, the Copenhagen Drummers and Halo’s Master Chief."

Nokia previously held such Lumia launch events in other countries to increase the excitement around its Windows Phone devices and Microsoft’s operating system.
