It appears that Nokia Lumia 710 will be the first Nokia Windows Phone device introduced in Canada. The smartphone will be available for purchase via Rogers for an incredibly low $254.99 (200 EUR) no-term price.

The folks over at MobileSyrup have been tipped on the upcoming launch of Rogers’ Nokia Lumia 710, which is expected to go live in the week commencing on February 6.

Additional contract options for Rogers’ customers will be available as well, such as the three-year term price of $49.99 (40 EUR), which was already officially confirmed by the carrier.

The phone can also be acquired for only $99.99 (75 EUR) with a new two-year contract, or for $149.99 (150 EUR) with a one-year agreement. The carrier plans to add the Lumia 710 to its ‘Smartphone Lite’ category to emphasize the device’s affordability.

Aside from Lumia 710, Nokia fans living in Canada should expect the Lumia 800 to be launched in the country as well. Though the Lumia 710 will be exclusively available at Rogers for a short time, there’s no telling which carrier will offer the Lumia 800.

Unveiled three months ago, Lumia 710 is a less-featured Lumia 800 with a different design.

The smartphone has a decent 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display, which is based on Nokia’s ClearBlack technology and support 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

The insides of the phone are almost similar the Lumia 800’s, as the device is equipped with a 1.4 GHz single core Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon processor and packs 512MB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.

Software-wise, Lumia 710 is a second-gen Windows Phone device and runs version 7.5 Mango, along with several Nokia apps, such as Nokia Drive which provides free turn by turn navigation.

In addition, the smartphone features XBOX Live integration for gamers, allowing quick connection with their XBOX Live profiles.
