Lumia 1520, the long rumored 6-inch Windows Phone 8 smartphone from Nokia, is now expected to become available for purchase in the United States via AT&T in early November.

Apparently, the smartphone will be officially unveiled on September 26, but it won’t be put up for sale until November.

Even so, the device will still have a great deal of appealing features to provide its users with, including long usage times, the latest leaks on the matter suggest.

Apparently, Nokia decided to pack the smartphone with a massive 3400mAh battery, which is 1400mAh larger than the one in the current generation of Lumia devices.

In fact, as WPCentral notes, the handset will sport a battery larger than any other high-end smartphone out there, including the recently announced Galaxy Note 3, which has a 3200mAh battery inside.

Nokia Lumia 1520 is expected to be one of the first Windows Phone 8 handsets to sport the upcoming GDR3 flavor of the platform loaded on top.

The OS version has been long said to bring along support for better hardware, and this device should prove that this was indeed the case.

Lumia 1520 should arrive with the aforementioned 6-inch touchscreen display, most probably of full HD resolution, as well as with a Snapdragon 800 processor inside.

Furthermore, it is expected to include a 20-megapixel PureView camera on the back, capable of capturing photos at 16 MP and 5 MP simultaneously. A front camera for video calling should also be present in the mix.

It is also said to feature 32GB of internal memory, complemented by a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

While there have been a lot of rumors regarding the existence and capabilities of this device, no official confirmation on the matter has been provided, and we’ll take the info above with a grain of salt for the time being. Stay tuned for more on this.
