Nokia Lumia 1520, the 6-inch Windows Phone 8 smartphone that the Finnish handset vendor is supposedly set to bring to the market this year, might be launched on September 26.

No official announcement on the matter has been provided as of now, but info that emerged online courtesy of @evleaks suggests that things will indeed go this way.

The upcoming handset is rumored to run under a new flavor of the Windows Phone 8 platform, namely GDR3, which includes support for larger screens and more powerful processors.

Thus, Lumia 1520 should feature a 6-inch full HD (1080p) touchscreen, a Snapdragon 800 processor, and 2GB of RAM. It is also rumored to sport 32GB of internal memory, as well as a 20-megapixel PureView camera on the back.

We’ll take the info above with a grain of salt for the time being, but stay tuned for more on the matter.
