Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia announced today the release of its flagship model Nokia 5800 XpressMusic with Comes With Music functionality in Brazil. The new device is set to provide mobile phone users in the country with the possibility to download millions of tracks unlimitedly. The 3.2" touchscreen handset is the first one to support the service, says the company.

Those who would like to acquire the Nokia 5800 Comes With Music will find it at Nokia Store SP (Rua Oscar Freire, 849), as well as online at the Nokia store. The operator to release the phone is TIM, which will have exclusivity for the first month following the launch. The device was already available for pre-order, and Nokia says that those who order it will receive it by this week's end.

Users who purchase the Nokia 5800 Comes With Music will be able to activate the service right away, so as to tap into the million songs available on the company's portal. In addition, they will also have the possibility to unlimitedly download songs to their devices or to PCs for one year, and keep the songs on their Nokia 5800 or on the computers even after the one-year period comes to an end.

The list of music labels available for Brazilian users includes Tratore, Som Livre, Deckdisc, ST2, Building Records, Atração, among others. Nokia is offering the tracks courtesy of its agreements with four of the world's largest labels, as well as with hundreds of independent labels, and is focused on providing users with local music content as a key component of its service.

“We know that the Brazilian consumer is among the world's top consumers of national music, consequently we made sure to contact major labels and local independent labels as well,” says Almir Narcizo, president of Nokia Brazil. “With Nokia 5800 Comes With Music we are making available the opportunity to have access to this content to them and to everyone that enjoys our music, with a product that will revolutionize the ways of digital consumption,” Narcizo concluded.

Today's launch also comes with a special offer from TIM, which applies to customers who acquire Nokia 5800 with the unlimited data package, consisting of two months of free download of music, games, videos and other content, as well as access to the Internet and reading email without paying for the data transfer. The Nokia 5800 Comes With Music is priced at BRL 399.00 with a TIM Brasil 250 plan, plus the mobile device unlimited data package.

“We are focused on bringing first hand great news to customers, increasing our portfolio to satisfy the various users' profiles. With Nokia 5800, we are confident about our special promotion: we offer two months of free unlimited data transfer so that all our customers might experience all Internet services and direct download to the device,” stated Rogerio Takayanagi, marketing director for TIM Brasil.
