Espoo, Finland-based mobile phone maker Nokia announced today the launch of three new CDMA handsets on the Chinese market, namely the Nokia 6316s, Nokia 3806 and Nokia 1506. The new additions to the handset vendor’s CDMA portfolio are meant to show Nokia's commitment towards CDMA, which is one of the major standards on the phone market today.

“Nokia is boosting its leadership in the CDMA market by updating an already strong line-up with products that appeal to a wide range of customer needs,” said David Tang, Vice President of Nokia China. “Of these devices, the Nokia 6316s is bringing exciting 3G services to life for users in China. Building on previous collaboration over the Nokia 8208, this is yet another success story resulting from our close relationship with China Telecom.”

According to the company, the new Nokia 1506 is slated for release in China at the end of the ongoing year, while the other two handsets, the Nokia 6316s and the Nokia 3806, should be launched on the market sometime in the first quarter of the next year.

The fresh Nokia 6316s comes to the market as a multimedia mobile phone that offers features like browsing, music, imaging and GPS capabilities. It also sports an elegant design, a 2.2-inch QVGA display, a 2-megapixel photo snapper, Bluetooth 2.0 capabilities, fast 3G connectivity, and a wide range of features that are in line with China Telecom services, not to mention pre-loaded apps like QQ, Email, web browser and more. The handset will become available in black, gold and red.

The Nokia 3806 comes with a compact design and all-in-one functionality, as well as with the necessary affordability and with powerful information sharing features. It also sports a 2.2-inch QVGA display, a 2-megapixel camera with video recording capabilities, not to mention Bluetooth 2.1, a memory card slot with support for 4GB cards, and three color schemes, including piano black, pure white and rose gold.

The last of the new handsets, the Nokia 1506, has a simple-to-use functionality, proving to be one of the most affordable CDMA devices launched on the market until now. It comes with a voice recorder, an integrated handsfree speaker, a long-lasting battery, and will become available in two color versions, black and plum.
