Ramble.ru is one of the largest Russian Internet portals and an excellent provider for Internet services and Email. From now on, it will also bring Nokia Intellisync Wireless Email to all its subscribers.

At this time, there are more than 20 million people using Rambler's services and especially the email ones. Rambler.ru plans on mobile email beyond the executive suite, which explains their decision of collaborating with Nokia.

"To answer the huge demand for mobile email in Russia in the long term, we needed a scalable platform that would be able to support a variety of devices - both smartphones and lower-end mobile devices with limited memory", said Dmitry Pleshakov, Director of portal, Rambler. Under these terms, Nokia's solution seems to be excellent. Moreover, the partnership between the world leader in mobile telecommunication services and products with one of the most important Internet portal in Russia sounds like a match destined for success.

The advantages are also worthy of consideration. "With our offering we are reducing costs related to mobile email and this way giving consumers access to low cost, easy to use wireless email and personal information management (PIM) services", declared Scott Cooper, senior vice president Mobility Solutions, Enterprise Solutions, Nokia.

Nokia Intellisync Wireless Email is compatible with any groupware environment, including ISP, Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes or Groupwise. Moreover, a large number of mobile phones are capable of supporting this service. All they need is a Symbian, Windows Mobile and Palm device platform. With these requirements met, users can benefit from email, contacts, calendar, device management, synchronization of files, data and business applications.

Nokia Intellisync Wireless Email will be available on Rambler.ru starting with the second half of 2007. That's great news, as it seems to be set to happen quite soon. Unfortunately, Nokia has not specified an exact date for this, so it's only left to waiting for it to happen.
