Espoo, Finland-based mobile phone maker Nokia has unveiled recently its first handset in the Cseries lineup, the Nokia C5, and now a photo gallery with it emerged into the wild. This candy-based device is a very interesting addition to Nokia's portfolio, since it comes with about all the features that today's smartphones include, while featuring a very appealing price tag, namely €135, before taxes and subsidies.

A quick look at Nokia C5's specifications shows that those who will purchase the handset will benefit from HSPA connectivity, built-in A-GPS with Nokia's Ovi Maps that offer free pedestrian and car navigation, from the capabilities of the Symbian S60 3rd Edition operating system, as well as from a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper the device comes packed with.

According to the guys over at symbianworld, the Nokia C5 will hit the shelves with a price tag of €169. Users will benefit from a full navigation system with the handset, as well as from great smartphone features, and the price puts the new phone in the mass-market smartphone segment. In the end, it does sound like an appealing deal, that's for sure.

If one takes into consideration the fact that Nokia C5 can also offer fast access to social networking sites, including Facebook and MySpace, or to instant messaging and email accounts from Ovi Mail and other providers, the handset will seem even more attractive. Fast Internet browsing, Ovi Music, and access to a wide range of content via the Ovi Store are other features of the new phone.

As stated above, the Nokia C5 is the first Cseries device from the leading handset vendor. Others will also land on the market, and at even lower price tags than this one, it seems. This state of facts is in line with what a series of industry watchers and analysts have already predicted, namely that smartphones will become more affordable than today. Not to mention that the Symbian Foundation expects for the first smartphone priced at €100 to land this year. More Nokia C5 photos here.
