It seems that music enthusiasts in the United States will be able to acquire a US 3G Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phone starting today from the company's Flagship stores. According to the latest news on the web, the handset will become available for purchase staring this afternoon, one day before its expected release date.

As many of you might already know, the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic NAM has been reported a while ago to come on the 26th of February to Nokia Flagship stores looking the same as the European variant, only that it features 850/1900MHz 3G frequencies on board, which are used by AT&T in the U.S. and Rogers in Canada.

At the same time, the device also comes with a 3.2-inch nHD touchscreen display that is able to provide a 640×360 pixel resolution, while also sporting Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as support for quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) frequency standards, a 3.5mm jack, 8GB of internal memory and built-in surround sound stereo speakers.

At the same time, there will be a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus, which also supports geo-tagging, given the fact that the 5800 XpressMusic NAM comes with a built-in GPS receiver. Besides allowing for photos to be tagged with location info, the GPS capabilities of the handset can also be used for navigation, given the Nokia Maps application that has been included with the device.

The price of the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic NAM is a little higher than that of the European variant, namely $399 (compared to the $350 price the latter features in both Chicago and New York stores). Even if the price might seem disappointing, the handset still has both good looks and nice features, so those interested in purchasing it should head to Nokia's stores or make a call to place an order.
