Nokia 2220 Slide is one of the mobile phones that Finnish handset maker Nokia is expected to release into the wild in the fourth quarter of the ongoing year, and which has just emerged in a series of pictures on dailymobile.se. The device seems to be an entry-level mobile phone, though it still looks attractive enough.

Along with the new images of the phone, the news site also brought up a series of specs for the phone, including the fact that it will have a VGA photo snapper, it will run under Symbian S40, will come to the market with a TFT display that boasts a 128 x 160 pixel resolution, and will pack inside the Opera Mini web browser.

At the same time the Nokia 2220 Slide is also expected to sport 10MB of internal memory, FM radio, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, dual-band GSM connectivity (900/1800 MHz), and a battery that can offer up to 8 hours of talk time or up to 400 hours of standby time. Take a look at the images below to make an idea of how this handset will look like (hopefully it will come in more colors). The entire set of pictures is available here.

Until more details on this low-end mobile phone become available, we should take a look at another Nokia handset that should hit the market in the not so far future, the Nokia X6. This device is expected to come to the shelves with impressive multimedia capabilities, a 32GB internal memory space and the possibility to boast up to 5 hours of music listening time.

Other capabilities of the device should also include a 16:9 widescreen display, direct access to Ovi Store, fast access to social networking sites like Facebook, all directly from the homescreen, and a 3.2-inch touchscreen display. The handset can be admired in a video embedded down below, and one should agree that it can easily prove a great mobile phone when it comes to entertainment or connectivity.
