Samsung F700 has been considered on several occasions to be the competitor of Apple's iPhone. Unfortunately for those living in the US, this handset will not be available.

Samsung F700 has been released in February, this year and was immediately seen as serious competition for the iPhone. The reason for this is the design that holds many similarities between the two phone models, starting with the large touch screen. The 2.8 inch display moreover brings the latest innovation coming from Samsung, that of the tactile screen. This generates vibrations in order to simulate the actual feeling of pressing a real button.

Moreover, the phone is only 16.4 mm thick. That is more than the 11.6 mm iPhone, but still makes a considerably reduced size. Another interesting aspect of the Samsung F700 is that it enables video, music and photo download at a high quality HSDPA connection that can reach download speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps.

Another impressive aspect about this phone is that it comes equipped with a 5 megapixel camera with auto focus which will definitely provide images of a quality above average. Moreover, Samsung F700 comes with a full QWERTY keypad that makes web browsing much easier. For this, the phone supports a full HTML browser that makes Internet e-mail and data services considerably easier to handle.

At the time when Samsung released this handheld, they saw it as a futuristic mobile phone solution. This came from the high performances that the phone is capable of and the breakthrough performances that it came with. Among these, there are included the VibeTonz technology that makes touch screen simulate actual buttons through vibrations and also the high quality camera.

The fact that this Samsung F700 will not be available in the US has been made clear after people at Samsung declared that they don't intend on releasing it after 3GSM.
