No DLC for PCs, says Ubisoft

In the gaming industry, some franchises have gained the status of cult ones, having managed to entertain users for a very long time and really bring new elements to other titles in their respective genres. One such series is Prince of Persia, which has been shaping third-person platformers ever since 1989, when the first game appeared for the early PCs.

Slowly but surely, over time, with the help of French gaming company Ubisoft, the franchise became extremely popular and offered new and interesting adventures for everyone's favorite Middle Eastern Prince. Now, with the latest installment, entitled simply Prince of Persia, the team at Ubisoft Montreal have given the series a fresh new start, with a new Prince and a lot of new features.

The game was pretty good, so Ubisoft decided to keep the interest around it very high and has just announced that it will release a batch of DLC (Downloadable Content) entitled Prince of Persia Epilogue. This release will continue the adventures of the Prince and Elika after the end of the game and will place them against new enemies, led by the evil Shapeshifter, this way introducing a lot of new things.

Set for release onto the Xbox 360 Live Marketplace and PlayStation Store on February 26, the announcement made a lot of gamers who bought the game for the PC wonder if and when these new adventures would make their way onto their favorite platform.

Sadly it seems that Ubisoft has no plans whatsoever to bring this new content pack onto the PC, as one of its community managers has posted on the game's official forum that only the consoles will receive it. “Unfortunately for business reasons we won't be seeing any PoP DLC appear. Sorry guys!,” reads the statement posted on the forum.

So there you have it, it seems that PC owners will once again suffer from discriminative company policies that favor the consoles more than this platform. All that's left for PC gamers to do is enjoy the game, as no new things will appear for it.

have any of you tought about the possibilety about ubisoft not makeing dlc for pc since it is harder to fix sompthing when it is on pc than when it is on consoles maybe the epilogue will be like a first mission if a sequel come out or if it didnt come out due to piracy still possible that if a sequel is made the pc version of it will have dlc on disc sine they will propably start making all games with that new anti pirate protection (cant remember what its called) both of those can be considerd as bussness reasons
